This society aims to:
Encourage female medical students to consider a surgical career
Form a network of aspiring female surgeons
Provide role models to aspiring female surgeons
Provide gender-specific career advice to female medical students
Encourage female representation at larger-scale events such as conferences
Enhance the portfolios of female medical students via the provision of certificates for event attendance.
Create opportunities for the enhancement of portfolios of female medical students
Educate female medical students about the requirements for foundation programme, core and specialty training applications
